Pete Crimando
Pete is entering his 24th year as the Head Coach for the Freshman Team. He played baseball and wrestled in high school. He had always coached his eldest son’s baseball teams from the time he was in t-ball through high school. After helping coach his son’s Horizon summer ball team in 2001, he was offered the Freshman Head Coach position by Coach Kibler. Pete also enjoys playing ice hockey in adult leagues.
Justin Miller
Played in the MLB for the Detroit Tigers, Colorado Rockies, Washington Nationals (World Series Champion), and St. Louis Cardinals. Miller graduated from Ridgeview High School in Bakersfield, California, and played college baseball for Bakersfield College and Fresno State University. He was a member of the 2008 College World Series-champion Fresno State Bulldogs baseball team. The Texas Rangers drafted Miller in the 16th round (483rd overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft.
Brian Issitt
Earned 1st Team All-State honors in football and baseball, while also being drafted by the MLB Houston Astros. Played DI at Holy Cross, where he earned 1st Team All-Patriot League Baseball award honor. Finished his collegiate career at Central Michigan University, where he earned 1st Team All-Mid-American Conference award honors.
Luke Peevyhouse Head Baseball Coach
Former collegiate player at Pacific University of Oregon. Previous high school coaching experience at Jesuit HS (Portland, OR) including Freshman and JV Head Coach, Varsity Hitting Coach. During his tenure, he was a part of a State Championship win and runner-up State Championship finish.
Andrew Bernstein
Andrew caught at Horizon High School and is now serving as the Varsity Catching Coach. He was a member of the 2022 and 2023 State Semifinal teams and played club baseball for Swarm Red Elite. He has three years of club baseball coaching experience and is the owner of CBC Catching. He coached at all age levels for Swarm and Swarm Red Elite and assisted in running their camps. Andrew has honed his skills under the guidance of experts in the Dominican Republic and Todd Coburn, 'The Catching Guy.' He has become one of Arizona’s top private catching instructors.
